Hospital is not a hotel, it is not an ideal place to stay, and the only time people are happy to be in a hospital is giving birth, I guess. Aside from the sickness/whatever issue you may have that you end up have to stay in a hospital, if you are lucky enough that you are still able to enjoy your food and have good appetite, better food definitely help one to feel better.

Long story short, less than 2 weeks ago, I gave birth to an amazing cute boy with my German husband in a local hospital. In Hongkong we all say foods in hospital is horrible, so I didn’t expect much… But then I was pleasantly surprised. I can’t say all hospitals serves good food in Germany, but there are some really trying to take care of what the patients eat.

Here I am showing the lunches first:

Gemüsebrühe mit Grießnockerl, Bandnudeln, Ratatouille Gemüse, Grüner Salat gemischt, Mango-Maracuja Creme (Vegetable broth with semolina dumplings, pasta with vegetables, mixed green salad, mango and passion fruit cream as dessert.)

Lunches are pretty good. The presentation may not be so impressing but they are more than a normal canteen would provide. Here are the rest of the lunches:
