Hong Kong is not in China.

It seems like I am talking about it all the time, but to be honest I wish I don’t have to talk about it so much.

I am so tired of it, but people keep tearing off my wound and put salt in it.

Whenever some people know you are from “Hong Kong”, they would automatically assumed that you are from china, especially those who seldom travel or been to Asia (or very briefly), or being brainwashed by a chinese girl friend or wife/job/stayed in china. A lot of time those people don’t really care and want just the simplest answer to it, so calling you ‘from china’ is easier for them to digest, even this is wrong. Ok you can think this way in your tiny head, but don’t say it to me and force me to “accept” what you have “accepted” when this has nothing to do with you but a lot to do with me. When you don’t care then why keep forcing a wrong country (and a country that is killing mine) on me? I don’t want to talk about it too, but I am usually not the person who bought it up. I just have to say something when you call me chinese, when I am not.

Don’t get me wrong though, I understand when some people are just not familiar with the countries in another continent and called it wrong by mistake, but usually it can be explained by “I am not from xx”, and the other person would say “oh sorry got it”. Unlike saying “but you are from xxxx and you just don’t want to…
