The Saint Seiya official ages make sense or… not. (Images are from the 90s anime)
Speaking of “Saint Seiya”, many probably say that they have never heard of it, or that it is a very old comic (well it is), or that they know about the later work Lost Canvas, G and so on.

This article mainly discusses the original manga of “Saint Seiya” by manga artist Masami Kurumada from 1986 to 1990.
There has been always discussions of the storyline or characters, ranking of the strength of the Gold Saints — they can always be found on the anime forums. The other interesting thing is the issue of the age setting of the characters in Saint Seiya.
You might say, “in “Saint Seiya”, the “bugs” are more than just the characters’ age!”
Indeed, even we love this manga work, there are really too many non-sense on different levels. However the ages issue is just way too obvious..

Seeing the characters setting when I was a child, I already felt that it was more reasonable that the characters should be like 10 years older. Let’s take a look:
1) Sagittarius (Aiolos) and Capricorn (Shura)
Thirteen years before the ‘current’ plot of the manga, there was a side story about Sagittarius Gold Saint being attacked by Capricorn Gold Saint. At that time, The Gemini Gold Saint (Saga) rebelled, killed and disguised as the pope, and then order the Gold Saints to kill the newborn Athena.
